Executive Director – Full-Time
The Essex Historical Society and Shipbuilding Museum holds a priceless collection of historic works relating to the shipbuilding industry in Essex in several buildings. The museum has worked tirelessly over the past few years to document and preserve its collection, expand the board, recreate its organizational structure, and put a strategic plan in place. We are now redesigning work and exhibit space, and developing new educational programs. We are seeking an Executive Director to help accomplish our mission who is a positive, energetic, enthusiastic individual with a broad set of skill sets. The successful individual will share our passion and commitment to maritime and local history. This individual will have a strong belief in teamwork, be responsible to the Board of Directors, head up a small but dedicated staff, and be in charge of the daily operations of the museum. Please forward a cover letter, with salary expectations, and résumé by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. No phone calls, please.
