Maritime Geophysicist / Archaeologist

 Emu Ltd is a specialist environmental Company providing multidisciplinary services to a wide range of clients operating in coastal and marine market sectors worldwide.  The Company is undergoing significant growth to support its offshore renewable opportunities.

This full-time role requires a self-motivated individual to review and interpret marine geophysical data for archaeological purposes.

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree/Masters level, be an excellent written communicator, have experience of processing and interpreting sidescan sonar, shallow seismic and magnetometer data, have an awareness of maritime archaeology and be IT literate with experience of Geographical Information Systems.  Experience of development led archaeology would be beneficial but not essential.

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who wants to develop their career in an interesting and dynamic workplace.

 Location:  Durley, Southampton, Hampshire, UK

Salary:  dependent on experience

Maritime Archaeologist

This full-time role requires a self-motivated individual with a passion and curiosity for investigating the maritime past, to under take archival research, synthesise large datasets and work with Geographical Information Systems, as well as having excellent report writing skills.

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree/Masters level, have experience in development led archaeology, be an excellent written communicator, have experience in writing desk based assessments, have exceptional research skills and be IT literate with experience of Geographical Information Systems.
